The Crown City Classic 5K & 12K Run is an annual road race held in Coronado, California, known for taking place around Independence Day. The event celebrates the holiday with a fun, community-focused run through the picturesque streets of Coronado, an island city near San Diego. It’s a popular race for both locals and visitors, offering participants the opportunity to enjoy a scenic run with beautiful views of the bay and the historic Hotel del Coronado. After crossing the finish line, runners are treated to a post-race festival that usually includes food, beverages, music, and activities. The community comes together for a celebratory atmosphere, perfect for kicking off the holiday.
Work Scope:
Manage the event registration website, volunteer sign-ups, and fundraising initiatives through the RunSignUp CRM platform
Partner with the race beneficiary, Islander Sports Foundation, to develop effective fundraising strategies, including peer-to-peer fundraising via the registration platform
Coordinate the ordering of t-shirts, medals, event signage, and promotional items
Collaborate with local partners and exhibitors on sponsor activations, ensuring that all deliverables meet their standards and contractual agreements.
