Roles:
2024 – Project Manager (until May 2024)
2023 – General Event Manager with direct oversight of race logistics, registration platform, hospitality packages, event setup, awards, sponsors and charity partners.
2022 – Event Management Logistics, Signage, Volunteer & Community Outreach Lead.
The Margaritaville Run Series is a fun, lifestyle-focused running event that ties into the laid-back, tropical atmosphere associated with Jimmy Buffett’s Margaritaville brand. The series features 5K and 10K runs that are designed to offer participants both a fitness challenge and a festive experience, blending athletic competition with Margaritaville’s signature relaxed, island-inspired vibe. Beyond the race itself, the event includes pre- and post-race festivities, with Margaritaville-themed parties, food, drinks, and entertainment. The festive atmosphere and laid-back approach appeal to both serious runners and casual participants.
Work Scope:
Manage the event overall marketing plan and event registration website, volunteer registration, and fundraising initiatives through RunSignUp (CRM).
Partner with the race beneficiary, Give Kids The World, to develop effective fundraising initiatives and recruit 50+ volunteers for the event.
Order t-shirts, medals, and promotional items in compliance with Margaritaville brand and licensing guidelines, and hire the timing company, race announcers, and event staff.
Partner with the resort staff and local chambers of commerce to promote the event and attract new participants. Collaborate with local sponsors and exhibitors on activations, ensuring delivery meets their standards and contractual agreements.
